We all decided that it would be better to stay indoor on the
1st of October holiday. Instead of venturing over to Central or Tsim Sha Shui, we ended up going to Festival Walk to avoid the crowd. After a quick lunch at Greyhound Café, everyone was still a little hungry so when Jelloman threw around the idea of having some desserts at Lady M, no one really dare to say no.
All eyes were on the new taro mille crêpes although I had a sneak peep just 2 weeks ago and quite honestly, I wasn’t impressed.
Earl Grey mille crêpes – Light pastry cream infused with classic French Earl Grey tea layered in between the handmade crêpes, garnished with Earl Grey tea glaze, Earl Grey tea leaves and edible blue cornflowers. Rose, Earl grey, pistachio and marron are four of my favorite flavors from Lady M's mille crêpes family but I had to admit, I have a soft spot for the rose and Earl Grey mille crêpes for some reason unknown even to myself. This was again very very good. We just couldn't stop eating it (but managed to resist ordering another).
Black Pink checker – Little nugget's favorite cake here and he wasted no time sinking his teeth in one!
As always, the charcoal chocolate and vanilla sponge cake worked pretty well with the strawberry cream cheese frosting, strawberry-infused ganache and dried raspberries.
But we had a little too many of these already in recent weeks. Not bad but I would rather have the new whiskey dark chocolate cake instead.
Iced taro oat milk - A new item on the drink menu to match the new taro mille crêpes.
I thought it was way too light for me. Not good...
