I am meeting Jelloman in Seongsu-dong for dinner tonight. That gives me roughly another hour of Me Time so without further ado, I began my exploration in this trendy area nicknamed "The Brooklyn of Seoul".
After spending some time hanging around Seongsu Federation and Line Friends Square Store, it was time to sit down for a quick drink. And I knew exactly where to have my quality time – Tongue Planet Café Seongsu (텅 성수스페이스).
Tongue Planet Café is one of those Korean cafés with amazing industrial design which has been very popular in Seoul in the last decade.
The place was a little loud for me but rather than running around in search of another place, I decided to spend my remaining Me Time here.
Getting my hands on their signature tongue cake (lower left) would make me a real happy camper but unfortunately, it was already sold out. Instead, I had to settle with their Oreo roll cake (lower right).
Peanut latte (₩8,000) – I thought the peanut flavors didn't stand up well to the richness of the strong shot of espresso.
Tongue Planet Café Seongsu is not the easiest of all places to find for first-timers but try to look for this secret door with "Tongue Planet" on the front. Then follow the staircase to the second floor.
