I had a very good night of sleep after watching my beloved Ipswich FC beat Huddersfield to clinch automatic promotion to the Premiership next season. Since I have promised myself that I start doing some light exercise this weekend, I decided to stay course with my scheduled routine in the morning.
It wasn't as easy as I thought it was. After not having any form of exercise for nearly six months, I had to get my legs going again and it was a tough start although things got a bit easier after the first 15 minutes. Afterwards, I jogged to the nearby Red Leaf Cafe (紅葉餐室) for a late breakfast.
It didn't take long for my breakfast set to arrive.
Of course, I had to begin with my iced milk tea. The richness from the tea caught me a little by surprise. It was strong but there wasn't sufficient milk there for the right balance. It wasn't bad but a little more milk would make me a happy camper.
The cha chaan teng classic of instant noodles served with satay beef was next. The noodles itself were fine but the beef was pretty rubbery. This immediately reminded me of my experience at Sun Wah Cafe (新華茶餐廳) a couple months ago. You don't get succulent beef from a cha chaan teng very often and that really made a difference there.
