Almost as iconic as the billboard are Dotonbori's takoyaki shops and there're lots of them left and right but none more eye-catching than Dotonbori Konamon Museum with the giant octopus over the top.
As usual, there's a lineup in front of Dotonbori Konamon Museum with people waiting patiently to get their hands on their octopus balls (takoyaki).
We patiently waited while the chefs worked on these in front of our watchful eyes.
When the round fried ball of wheat flour (with a small piece of octopus inside) were finally ready, the chefs put the finishing touches on by spraying sweet sauce all over along with their special mayo, green laver powder and shaving of dried bonito.
They were a little crunchy outside but pretty soft inside. Not bad.
