At 9pm, with our last night in Fukuoka, most of us (except for mom) simply refused to return to the hotel and sleep early. However, Fukuoka is hardly a city that never sleeps, and with the majority of the shops and restaurants preparing to close for the day (if they weren't already closed), was there anything worthwhile to prolong our night?
I, for one, had one more itch to scratch before this trip ended, so I decided to venture over to Daimyo (大名).
Daimyo Soft Cream (大名ソフトクリーム) is a Japanese soft serve shop I visited when they had a branch at Hakata Station many years ago. Their creamy and silky smooth soft serve made quite an impression on me, and I really wanted a taste of it to close out this journey.
Daimyo's milk soft cream (600 yen) – This was exactly how I remembered it — thick, creamy, and flavorful. I'm glad I can finally cross it off my list.
Unlike most ice-cream shops, this branch of Daimyo Soft Cream offers a spacious dine-in area.
