One of the things that got us all hooked to Shenzhen was the local snacks which were both very cheap and tasty at the same time. The pastries from Luxihe Taosu (泸溪河桃酥) in particular have been getting a lot of love from all of us.
While I was in town for a number of things, I decided to go visit Luxihe Taosu at Link City (泸溪河桃酥 福田連城新天地店) to see what they have in store for me. As it turned out, most of the items were already sold out due to the brand's huge popularity.

While little nugget's favorite seaweed puffs were all sold out this afternoon, Luxihe's signature walnut cookies (桃酥) were very much in stock. In fact, these are my personal favorites as I am a sucker for anything with nutty flavors!
In case you're wondering, Luxihe's walnut cookies come in two different versions. The most popular one is their original walnut cookie (¥12 for 12 pieces) which costs a mere ¥1 a piece. Then, there's this refined version I got with chopped walnut bites in it (¥19.8 for 12 pieces) that costs a little more.
The thing I love about these walnut cookies is that it's so flaky (not crunchy) and full of nutty flavors. I don't think we have anything like it in Hong Kong. And of course, they were so cheap!
This outlet of Luxihe Taosu isn't the easiest one to locate especially for first timers. My advice is to simply go through Wongtee Plaza (皇庭广场). Go out from the exit of Area C (Food hall area) and you should see this entrance to Link City on your right.
