Living Room @Park Hyatt Shenzhen (Shenzhen, CHINA) ★★★★☆

I am having a routine day-off on a weekday. Didn't have much planned so I was having a lazy morning at home but that was before I was given a secret mission by Jelloman. 

And mission accepted. The next thing I knew, I got onto the rapid train to Futian touching down in less than 15 minutes. Fast forward to a couple of hours later, it was time for my caffeine fix.



I have never been to Park Hyatt Shenzhen before and there was this wonderful lobby lounge called Living Room on the lobby level overlooking Futian. 

It didn't take long for me to spot the pastry corner which came with all sorts of exquisite French pastries.

I don't mind having one of these with a cup of English Breakfast tea since I have yet to have my caffeine today.

While the sofa seats looked really comfortable and cozy in the middle, I decided to give myself more room and privacy.

I am eyeing one of these tables at the corner, with the ceiling-to-floor window behind me for some natural lights.

My afternoon tea session is about to start!

Yogurt rose (¥68) – Nothing flashy about this dessert.

Inside the pink and white exterior were rose flavored yogurt mousse, sponge cake and what I thought was vanilla cream.

But what really helped to tie everything together neatly was the little patch of raspberry jam in the middle. See how small that was. It made a hell lot of difference with its lovely acidity.
