They are really famous for their afternoon tea sets and homemade sausage rolls but I'm way too full to even entertain the idea of having either one.
Vanilla, apricot and almond - There was a layer of vanilla cream with apricot mousse and gelée right underneath. The combination of flavors weren't bad but I thought it lacked the contrast of textures in the mix. And the apricot flavor was a little too overpowering.
There seem to be a change of guard since I last visited The Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop in 2015. Their creations still look lovely but the flavors are nowhere near what they used to be.
But still one of the top French pastry shop and dessert cafe in Bangkok due to the lack of competition.
