International brand BOYY is headed by designers Jesse Dorsey from Montreal and partner-now-wife Wannasiri Kongman from Bangkok. The brand was launched in 2006 in New York gradually putting Thailand on the global map of fashion.
Like Greyhound, the brand started off in the fashion business but came up with the idea of a café off-shoot midway through.
Located next door to the BOYY Boutique, BOYY & Son Café is an inviting little café with a vintage décor highlighted by its Italian furnishings inspired by the 1970s.
The giant window provided a nice view of CentralWorld right across the street.
BOYY & Son Café's menu is short and sharp. Apart from an extensive list of beverages, there's also a small collection of baked goods including different flavors of freshly made croissants.
I was told that the standout items here include anything with pandan and fresh sea salt caramel.
Everybody got their cameras and smartphones ready.
Iced Pandan Latte (140 Baht) - Surprisingly subtle pandan flavor. That was quite decent.
Icy BOYY & Son Caramel (120 Baht) - I had trouble figuring out whether this is meant to be a drink or dessert. But it was definitely an enjoyable one that's soothing for the palates. Love the combination of strong salted caramel flavor and bittersweet coffee jelly.
Coconut Croissant (120 Baht) - One of the most popular croissants here.
This wasn't bad but the coconut flake filling was a tad too sweet for me.
Almond Croissant (130 Baht) - I always think you can't go wrong with a hearty almond croissant. This was just seriously good. Very buttery and flaky at the same time.
This is the end of our brunch and coffee session. Now time for more shopping, this time grocery shopping at BIG C.
