Sugar Miss (Taipei, TAIWAN) ★★★☆☆

All you Lady M fans out there in Taipei, go ahead and embrace yourself. Give yourself a pat on your back because from now on, you don't have to travel all the way to Seoul or Hong Kong for a nice piece of Mille Crêpes anymore. Sugar Miss is here for the rescue.

Located just a stone's throw from Zhongshan Park (中山公園), Sugar Miss is a popular tea salon that serves a pretty good mille crêpes, comparable to what Lady M has been offering all these years.

What Sugar Miss lacks in selection, they make up for it with their quality by using some of the freshest ingredients from Taiwan and Japan including the Japanese omu dairy products (‎歐牧鮮奶油).

Look at that sleek and modern design, for a moment I thought I was sitting inside a Lady M boutique!

Original Mille Crêpes 原味生乳千層蛋糕 (NT180) - Their mille crêpes come in four different flavors, original, matcha, chocolate and earl grey. I thought it was a good idea to start things off with the original flavor.

Like Lady M's version, this features no less than 20 layers of paper-thin crepes but you can tell they're not as smooth as Lady M's. The pastry cream was also not as light as Lady M's as this was a lot richer (and thicker) like a custard.

Earl Grey Mille Crêpes 伯爵紅茶千層蛋糕 (NT220) - The Earl Grey tea flavor was a lot stronger than the one from Lady M but personally, I like the original a little better.

Marble Cheesecake 大理石乳酪蛋糕 (NT200) - Another one of signature cakes on top of their mille crêpes collection. This has a layer of pear flavored cheese on top followed by another layer of lemon flavored cheese in the middle. Not bad at all.

Sugar M provides some pretty good options in case you're hunting for a good mille crêpes in the heart of Taipei.
