Bistro InStreet (里巷) is a vibrant section within MixC World (万象天地) in Nanshan Shenzhen, dedicated to trendy restaurants and cafés that serve a diverse range of cuisines from all over the world. We had the pleasure of dining at some of these restaurants including Qing Chun Perma (慶春樸門), Shiheyuan (柿合緣新京菜) and Torisawa (鳥沢). Yet, there remained an unfulfilled craving, an itch I’ve long wanted to scratch here but without success.
Located on the second floor of Bistro InStreet, Ban Maa Tong Soei (彬媽糖水) is a popular dessert shop known for serving traditional Chinese-style sweet soups and desserts, particularly those from Cantonese cuisine.
They have been serving hearty Cantonese desserts since 2014.
Don't expect a long list of desserts available each night; otherwise you'll be disappointed for sure.

Papaya snow fungus soup (冰糖銀耳木瓜) (¥23) – With little nugget off for his battle against the crawling machines, I successfully sneaked out and scratched this itch at last.
I waited about 10 minutes for my table but the papaya snow fungus soup was well worth the wait. It was exactly what the doctor ordered on a muggy spring evening like tonight. Very soothing for the palate, thanks to the abundance of papaya and snow fungus.
In fact, I could feel the nourishing effects already..... 😝😝
