Not long ago, ADD! (it was called ADD+ earlier) was still a restaurant serving lunch and dinner buffets in the West Kowloon Cultural District.
Located on Level B1 of the M+ Museum Tower, ADD! has now gone a full circle completing the transformation back into a restaurant serving an all-day menu full of Chinese and western delicacies. With Jelloman's BFF returning from Canada for the first time in seven years, this became the perfect venue for our gathering as a few of us have never been here before including our guests from overseas.
Double chocolate Oreo milkshake – A must to kick off our brunch, according to little nugget.
Following a few carbonara and fish n chips, here comes the Chinese dishes.
Fujian fried rice (福建炒飯) – Served on the side next to the fried rice was the relatively mild flavored sauce with onion, shallots, spring onion, diced chicken and seafood. Not bad.
Beef brisket and tendon with curry sauce (咖喱牛筋腩) – The curry was more sweet than spicy.
Roasted pork belly (燒腩仔) – When ADD+ (now ADD!) first opened, they used to have some pretty good barbecued pork and roasted pork belly, and looks like they still do.
Stir-fried satay beef rice rolls in hot pot (煲仔沙嗲牛肉炒腸粉) – This is one of our favorite dim sum around here. The rice rolls were fried with soy sauce, satay beef and mushrooms, finished off beautifully with strips of seaweed on top. It came with a bit of extra heat which was more than welcome by the majority of us except the kids.
After lunch, we decided to head to the seats upstairs for the amazing harbour view.
We had a wonderful time catching up together and without us even noticing, it was time to say goodbye. Little nugget will miss his new friend from Canada, an elder brother he never had but he knew they would meet again sometime.
