I thought I'd never get the chance to visit Australia Dairy Company (澳洲牛奶公司) again for nostalgia's sake but after dropping little nugget off for his English class just across the street, I saw a glimpse of hope. Maybe, just maybe I could get ourselves a table in 15 minutes judging from the lineup.
In fact, the lineup moved a lot faster than I thought and soon, we were offered a small "private dining" area behind the big tables.
As usual, we went with our "yellow" and "white" this morning (This is how people usually place the orders here, by saying one yellow and one white to the servers).
It didn't take more than a minute before our two puddings arrived in front of our eyes.
Steamed egg custard with almond juice (杏汁燉雞蛋) – My all-time favorite here which was again served lukewarm.
This was very nice and custardy. Sweet yet not too sweet. It was much much better than the take-away version I had last time.
Steamed milk pudding with egg white (蛋白燉鮮奶) – Jelloman's favorite. She didn't give me a full report on this but apparently, she enjoyed it thoroughly.
It was so good to be back at this traditional café where Jelloman and I used to hang out when we were still dating. Like most nights we spent here, we were rushed out of the doors but that was also part of the fun 😆😆😆.
