The 2nd arrondissement in Paris has always possessed one of the city's most underrated dining and dessert scene. I was determined to spend an afternoon here exploring this area that I knew very little of following our quick lunch this afternoon.
The first shop that caught my eyes was La FabriQue Cookies, a small bakery specializing in handmade cookies.
There're a lot of different flavors here, 18 in total.
La FabriQue's cookies are all handmade and baked over low temperature in order to preserve their perfectly soft texture.
They have this cookie (2 pieces) and coffee set at 6 Euros. Not a bad deal to kick off our day at all.
I love white chocolate cookies so this one with pecan was a no-brainer. It was really soft and moist as advertised. A real nice change of pace comparing to the American-style cookies I grew up with in Canada, which is better known for its crunch.
