We just got enough time to squeeze in one last dessert before heading over to the airport. Since we were already in the Bukchon Hanok Village area, I thought Sojukdoo (小赤豆) would be a fairly good option considering mom hasn't been there before.
At this point, the sky has opened up.....
This was my second time here so I knew exactly what to expect.
A traditional Korean vibe with a lot of wood.....
The menu has everything one would expect from a Korean dessert place, Korean shaved ice and red beans (with the occasional green tea).
Sweet red bean porridge with dumpling (₩8,000) - This is what I usually order here, a warm bowl of sweet red bean porridge with glutinous rice dumplings, ginkgo, lily bulb and grain powder. Pretty Chinese, don't you think?
Red bean snowflake (₩7,000) - The rest of us wanted something ice cold so a nice patbingsu with red beans was in order. This was pretty good on a gloomy day like this and I thought the "mochi" on top was a nice icing on the cake.
