Special thanks to the team at Seorae for inviting us over for their special skirt meat. I have heard a lot about this famed Korean BBQ house before and even more about this signature cut. Unfortunately I was a bit lazy to call knowing that booking takes at least one week in advance.
So what is so special about their skirt meat? Well let's start with a simple biology lesson. This skirt meat refers to a very special cut of meat in between the pig's heart and liver. Every adult pig only has about 200-300 gram of this.
We arrived on time at 7pm and the place was very noisy and very packed already! We had to wait approximately 10 minutes before being seated.
They wasted no time offering us an order of their special pork skirt meat.
This was very tender and flavorful. I decided to put in some kimchi and onion to make the taste even richer.
Let me try eating it as a lettuce wrap. Delicious indeed!
I wasn't going to leave this place without sampling more of their tasty meat. This time, I decided to order some beef and the Seorae style grilled beef tenderloin sounded like a great idea.

Again, this was full of flavors and only if it has a little more marble to it, would've be perfect.
We had the "mixed rice" with flying fish roes and it was another very good choice too.
