It's a nice feeling knowing that La Patisserie des Idees, my favorite cake shop in West Kowloon, is no longer a hidden gem in town (with a full house on a Thursday night).
I was there to check what's new this month and it didn't take long for me to find something I like - Le Poire.
Le Poire (洋梨蛋糕) - This is a pear lover's dream.
The dedicate William pear mousse and pear compote were very soothing to the palate. I like the salted caramel there to spice things up and the sponge cake did well to tie everything up nicely. A piece of pastry that was both well designed and executed.
