Patisserie & Café Del'immo (Tokyo, JAPAN) ★★★☆☆

Promising pastry chef and chocolatier Kazuaki Eguchi honed his skills at Le Chocolat de H (Tokyo) and Del Rey chocolaterie (Antwerp) before striking out on his own in late 2013. His first solo venture, Patisserie & Café Del'immo, has become a big hit in Akasaka district almost instantly.

Chestnut mousse cake (641yen) - While their hot chocolate and parfaits are must-do here at Patisserie & Café Del'immo, I knew I wasn't going to leave without laying my hands on their pastries too. As a huge chestnut fan, their chestnut mousse cake sure looked way too tempting to resist. This was a little on the sweet side but I like the different textures of chestnut. That was a lot of fun.

In 2015, Patisserie & Café Del'immo finally opened its first overseas branch in Tangerang, Indonesia. I'm hoping that one day they do think about Hong Kong as potential landing spot for their second overseas venture so we could experience chef Eguchi's wonderful creations without flying over to Japan.
