Angelina (Paris, FRANCE) ★★★★★

For someone with a sweet tooth like me, there's no better place to be than Paris.

After visiting Ladurée in the morning and Pierre Hermé in late afternoon, I thought I was done for the day but the legendary hot chocolate and mont blanc from Angelina were too good to turn down.

Just steps from the gardens of Louvre, Angelina's is home to one of Paris' most historic tea rooms dating back to 1903. Designed in the luxurious Belle époque style, the tea room provides the perfect ambience for morning coffee or afternoon tea.

Angelina's old-fashioned hot chocolate “L’Africain” is famous for its century-old recipe. But after having the signature hot chocolate at Ladurée earlier the day, I decided to try the white hot chocolate here instead.

The classic Mont blanc is a definite must here. It's difficult to resist from the wonderful combination of meringue, light whipped cream and chestnut cream vermicelli. No wonder they are selling almost 600 of these on a daily basis. Outstanding!
