Revisite Patisserie (Seoul, SOUTH KOREA) ★★★★☆

For a couple of years now, Revisite Patisserie has been an itch I was unable to scratch due to its out-of-nowhere location and irregular opening hours. But it looks like that I’ve finally found a timeslot on my itinerary to scratch this itch once and for all.

Revisite Patisserie is a small French patisserie about a 10-minute walk from Seolleung Station on Subway Line 2 and the Suin–Bundang Line. It’s tucked in a small residential community making it far less known if it was situated in a bustling tourist area.

The small and cozy space offers a peaceful, hushed atmosphere where guests can slow down and enjoy the sensory experience of their mostly classic French desserts.

As usual, there weren’t a whole lot of choices available on a daily basis. Just the three signature cakes including The Vanilla, Mont Blanc and Chocolate Miel, and a seasonal fresh fig tart.

Mont Blanc (₩11,000) — A pretty classic interpretation of a Mont Blanc cake.

It came with delicate, distinctive layers of contrasting textures and flavors: French meringue, chestnut caramel, chestnut purée, vanilla cream, chestnut cream and the thin base of hazelnut sablé. They were all coming together in harmony. A classic done right.

I had to rush through this one cuz I have an early dinner at 5:30pm tonight. My dinner venue is Vinho, a restaurant I know very little about. Looking forward to it.
