Stohrer (Paris, FRANCE) ★★★☆☆

Situated on the busy pedestrian street of Rue Montorgueil, Stohrer is the city's oldest patisserie founded in 1730 by Nicolas Stohrer, King Louis XV's pastry chef.

Largely considered as the creator of the famous Baba au rhum, Stroher offers an exciting collection of traditional French pastries, chocolates and baked goods in an old-world setting. I have been here a few times before and the place was always packed with dessert lovers.

Since I already had my fair share of pastries this afternoon, I opted for something a little lighter. A L-sized salted caramel macaron.

This was really really strong in flavors and if my palate had served me correctly, it tasted more like a coffee macaron, with a blend of genuinely rich sweetness and bitterness.
