After the trial launch of McGriddles that lasted for less than a week at the end of July, McDonald's Hong Kong is finally bringing it back in the first week of August. I had the chance to check it out twice during the trial period and jus couldn't wait to get my hands on it again this month.
The McGriddle sandwich comes with a fried bacon, a scrambled egg flap, and American cheese between two maple-flavored griddle pancakes embossed with the McDonald's logo. It reminded me a bit of the pancake burger from No Milkshake No Life Morning Queue.

Personally, I love this new creation by McDonald's although there are still minor improvements to be made for a better mouthfeel, such as more maple syrup to the pancakes and perhaps a portobello mushroom to go with the bacon and egg (taking a page from NMNL's pancake burger).
Another disappointing part of this McGriddle campaign was the fact that it's only available thru McDonald's during breakfast hours. For the rest of the day, we have to order through Foodpanda which was what the counter staff told me when I tried to get one for my afternoon snack a few days ago. That really threw me off my plans a little.
