When our driver dropped us off at Wukesong Station (五棵松站), it was supposed to be for our convenience so we could take the subway back to our hotel. But we went on an exploration on our own and managed to unearth a hidden gem, Huaxi Live Hi-Up Wukesong (华𤋮 Live 五棵松), an entertainment, sports and lifestyle hub right next to the station. The rest was history; we all decided to stay to find our dinner venue and more.
Huaxi Live Hi-Up Wukesong consists of indoor and outdoor facilities that combines sports, shopping and dining all in one. I decided to sneak out to check this place out while my colleagues were still enjoying their hotpot. And I realized how BIG the place it really is.
And this is when I bumped into 古卖萌甜甜圈, a small doughnut shop 🍩 next to the skate rink.
Black Forest Doughnut – It wasn't easy finding a flavor I liked here but at the end, I settled for this Black Forest doughnut.
This came with chocolate and three cherries on top.
Very disappointing. I thought the dough wasn't nearly spongy enough and the cherries, presumably soaked in rum was not working at all with the doughnut. They were simply falling apart. Not good!
