Hailed from Sai Ying Pun, Shaz Confections is a home grown pastry shop specializing in different flavors of crepe cakes. They also have a wide variety of floral tea, coffee and beverages to complement their sweet treats.
This new branch at K11 is still in soft opening mode when we paid our visit.
There were some familiar flavors like green tea, charcoal, Earl Grey, salted caramel and rose which we have seen from Lady M but also some flavors that we have never seen anywhere before, including the K11 exclusive Baileys expresso, red bean mochi and traditional Hong Kong milk tea.
It's very difficult to make up my mind with all these colorful crepe cakes in front of my watchful eyes.
Hong Kong milk tea crepe cake ($68) - At the end, Jelloman and I decided to tackle a couple of flavors which were not seen anywhere else before. First up was the Hong Kong milk tea crepe cake. It looked a little like Lady M's Earl Grey mille crepes at first glance but I thought the flavors turned out to be more like Japanese Royal milk tea. The cake was light and pillowy but there's obviously some subtle difference between their 16-layer crepe cake and Lady M's 20-layer mille crepes.
Baileys expresso crepe cake ($68) - This K11 exclusive is composed of their handmade crepes layered with silky smooth baileys cream and garnished with Redback espresso powder.
I definitely rated this one a little higher than the Hong Kong milk tea crepe cake.

Finally, we have some alternative options when it comes to delectable and succulent crepe cakes with exquisite flavors. The question now is, for HK$7 more, would we want to have Lady M's mille crepes instead?
