Brasserie & Wine Cafe Buzz Umeda (Osaka, JAPAN) ★★★☆☆

We spent much of the day in Umeda, and during our shopping spree, we couldn’t help but notice this recently opened bistro by the name of Brasserie & Wine Cafe Buzz, located on the 1st floor of the Osaka Fukoku Life Insurance Building. It was lunch hours, so the place was drawing in plenty of diners.

This is a European-style brasserie, café, and wine bar all under one roof offering a stylish yet casual atmosphere that works well for casual dining, dates, and social catch-ups.

We were just looking for a break from shopping, and a light meal like this was exactly what we needed. We started off with a consommé of some sort.

Followed by some snacks.

It had been a while since we last had non-Japanese food, so a pasta tossed in a creamy sauce with assorted mushrooms was absolutely perfect.

The pan-fried chicken fillet with tomato ragout was really tasty.

We ordered an additional side dish of French fries and salad to share.

It was a really nice change of pace compared to the heavier meals we’d had over the past few days. Now, the countdown is on before we head off to Kansai International Airport later this afternoon.
