The St. Regis Shenzhen 深圳瑞吉酒店 (Shenzhen, CHINA)

Madame Taekwondo, VIP extraordinaire in the Marriott Bonvoy universe, caught us by surprise with a little treat — a pre-arranged stay at The St. Regis Shenzhen (深圳瑞吉酒店) tonight.

We made our way over to the hotel lobby following a satisfying Peking duck dinner and some game time at KK Mall next door.

Perched high above the city, the sweeping night skyline from the lobby windows was absolutely stunning. We could only wish that the view at our room was as good as this one.

Like most St. Regis properties, the design here blends timeless luxury with subtle local touches, offering that classic East-meets-West aesthetic the brand is known for. It’s got that refined residential feel, with bespoke details scattered throughout, from the elegant light fixtures to the plush textures and curated art.

Now, I hope Madame Taekwondo isn’t reading this part. As someone who worships contemporary, minimalist design, I’ve never been the biggest fan of the St. Regis aesthetic. Some of the furnishings feel a little out of style for me.

But one can never deny the sense of space, comfort, and understated opulence this brand delivers. The bathroom alone was a highlight — marble-clad, warm-toned, and incredibly spacious, complete with a separate rain shower and soaking tub.

The shower room was as spacious as I've seen in recent memory.

Little nugget wasted no time enjoying a swim in the bath tub.

Yeah, he's putting on some weight of late thanks to all the late-night snack raids.

After a superb night’s sleep on those signature beds, we decided to skip breakfast and head straight back to the arcade for more game time. But not before soaking in that gorgeous morning view from our window — a sharp contrast to the all-black canvas we had last night.

The St. Regis Shenzhen was exactly what we expected — and more. The location is simply unbeatable, just steps away from KK Mall and the metro.

A touch of classic luxury in the heart of the city, with a bathtub big enough for a mini pool party. It's not hard to see why it's one of the top five-star hotels in Shenzhen.
