Ashley Road has undergone a lot of changes over the past 15 months. There were a ton of restaurants and bars moving out and taking over were a handful of casual eateries like Sham Tsai Kee (深仔記茶餐廳).
I vaguely recalled this venue used to be a Korean BBQ chicken place.
It was a little late for afternoon tea but I couldn't resist the crave for a cup of silky smooth milk tea. I thought this was a little rough around the edge. Not silky enough and not enough milk for a nice balance.
It didn't take long for my French toast to arrive. This looked like a tall bottle of olive oil that they brought along with my toast but a closer look revealed that it's maple syrup.
Peanut butter could be seen very nicely spread all over the two golden-colored toasts.
This was beautifully done. Each of the small slice had a share of the peanut butter. It was a shame that they didn't have the milk tea to match it.
