The Mandarin Cake Shop (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★★☆☆

Despite my recent cut down on sweet stuff, I still tried my best to entertain my sweet tooth once in a while to keep it happy. Like this afternoon for instance when I was on my way to see my specialist, I decided to make a special trip to The Mandarin Cake Shop at Mandarin Oriental. 



Some of these cakes do look tempting but I have to be careful with what I put into my mouth these days.



While I can't have any creamy stuff at the moment, doughnuts can be an exception (I guess!). The Mandarin Cake Shop always has some of the best doughnuts in town. This is their "plain" version but I smell orange zest in there.

Yummy and very spongy~
