The good news was, it's conveniently located near Sapporo Station. Just a short 5-minute walk (without luggage) from the East exit which was even quicker than what Google Map has projected.
Check-in took a little longer than expected but that's somewhat understandable considering we had a large group and the scanning of all our passports took up a good chunk of our some valuable time.
One of the reasons I picked this hotel was their spacious executive twin room. Not many hotels in Sapporo (or Japan for all that matters) can afford the space for two double sized beds!
There's even enough space for a small living room, which unfortunately I didn't get the chance to enjoy during our stay.
It's actually not bad for winding down after a full day of sightseeing (too bad we came back late almost every single night).
The bathroom was reasonably clean and looked kind of modern at first glance. The only thing I didn't like about it was the fact that the housekeeping lady always had the blinds wide open. So, I had to be alert when I took off my clothes for shower.
The best thing about Cross Hotel Sapporo has to be its location. Not only is it close to the train station, it's also literally next to the Sapporo Clock Tower.
And Odori Park (nicknamed Heart of Sapporo City) and Odori Station both just 500 metres away.
If you value space and location as much as we do, then 4-star Cross Hotel Sapporo should be high on your list of hotels to stay in Central Sapporo.
