We missed our ramen shop on our way to Cape Manza. It was getting late and we were getting tired and hungry after our early start. Thankfully, when we saw the big logo that said "ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort", we could breathe a collective sigh of relief.
It was already late in the afternoon and most of the restaurants in the hotel were ready to hang out their 'closed' sign except for Unkai Japanese Restaurant (雲海日本料理).
It's slow season here in Okinawa so we were not really expecting a big crowd at Unkai.
We were starving so throw us anything that's edible. A bento box with sashimi? That would work.
I had the lunch set with seared wagyu beef. Not the best wagyu I ever had but not bad.
Shisa, a traditional Ryukyuan decoration, can be seen everywhere in Okinawa from rooftops to the house gates. It even comes in sauce containers!
Rewind a little bit before our lunch, this is part of the Okinawan Castle ruin. It reminds me of the Fortress of Suomenlinna we visited many years back but of course, it's in a much smaller scale.
There are a lot of peaceful beaches near Cape Manza. I bet they all look great with clear skies in the summer.
