A Happy Pancake 幸せのパンケーキ K11 Musea (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★★☆☆

Jelloman's having a lady's night out with high school friends tonight. Rather than getting stuck at home with my little nugget, I decided to bring him out for a walk. A long walk to K11 Musea! Mom decided to tag along to help keep a close eye on little one for me. After we wandered around K11 for a while, guess where we ended up having dinner (Hint: mom's a Japanese souffle pancake addict.)!?

Happy pancake ($108) - Yes, mom's a Japanese souffle pancake addict so this is a no-brainer, especially after she fell deeply in love with A Happy Pancake (幸せのパンケーキ) 's offering in Fukuoka. The plain (original) pancake serves her just fine too.

Pancake with milk tea sauce and homemade granola ($133) - Would have loved a little more royal milk tea sauce but this wasn't bad at all, with the dried fruits, spices and crushed nuts providing a nice finishing touch.

It's still early so we are not yet done here. Little nugget still wants his noodle soup and he likely won't leave until he gets his wish. But for the time being, I got him his favorite vanilla shake from Five Guys to keep him a little occupied.

For some reason, these souffle pancakes never taste nearly the same in Hong Kong compared to Japan. I wonder why.....
