Pâtisserie Tony Wong Metroplaza (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★★☆☆

For Jelloman's birthday cake this year, I decided to go back to one of the city's old stalwart. 



Pâtisserie Tony Wong has been around for a long time but we've had a love-hate relationship with them in the last little while thanks to the up-and-down performance from their kitchen. But I was hoping to start things off with a clean slate today.

Lychee & Raspberry Cake – This looks adorable.

The stunning heart-shaped cake was decorated nicely with pearls and flowers made with white chocolate.

I thought the texture of the cake was pretty nice, and so was the combination of flavors. The lychee mousse, raspberry compote and almond sponge all came together beautifully. The most important part, Jelloman was a happy camper.

Now that we have pressed the reset button with this patisserie, perhaps it's time to come back regularly and check out what they've got in store for us for sweet treats.
