It has been an amazing run for the LUBUDS Group with what its F&B arm has achieved in a couple of years. Now with 20 restaurants and bars in Hong Kong and Macau, it's easily one of the fastest growing F&B group in the city.
Their bread and butter has been their Japanese restaurants including their flagship sushi restaurant, Ana Ten (天穴) at Harbour City. We had the pleasure of having lunch there last year and despite our mixed reviews, we decided to give it another shot, although at a slightly different location. Everybody deserves a second chance, right?
Yaki ANA 穴 in Olympian City has more or less the same decor but without the breathtaking harbour view.
Hokkaido don - This came with fresh crab meat, sea urchin, salmon roes and scallops. Not bad.
Kumamoto oysters don - I haven't had deep-fried oysters from Kumamoto for a while and these tasted so good. Very creamy and briny flavors. I wish there were more than four pieces.
Teriyaki chicken with udon soup - Something for my little nugget. The chicken was pretty tender but the udon soup was a little heavy handed with the seasoning.
Everyone had a sweet ending thanks to the complimentary sticky date pudding.
I thought the food wasn't bad at all. In fact, it's a little better than what we had at Ana Ten (天穴) last time around, which is already something to cheer about here in Olympian City.
