Jouer Pâtisserie (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★★☆☆

I was hunting for some macarons for an upcoming party later this month and was looking for something a little more playful. As the word "play" begins to ring in my head, all of a sudden, images of Jouer ("Jouer" translates into “to play” from French) Pâtisserie's signature mini macarons are all coming back to me.

Jouer's mini macarons ($18 a piece) are best known for their innovative flavors and Chinese roots. Chinese Ginger and Vinegar (薑醋味), Mango Pomelo (楊枝金露) and Hong Kong style Milk Tea (港式奶茶) are just a few of those flavors that have us craving for more.



I was sampling some of their Chinese Ginger and Vinegar flavored macarons tonight. It was really like having Chinese style ginger and vinegar although I won't mind a little more acidity in there.
