Jelloman is going on another business trip, this time to Beijing. Honestly, I didn't immediately jump on the idea of joining her there. If it was Shanghai, I would have made that decision in a heartbeat. But then Beijing will always have a special place in my heart cuz it's the destination of my first business trip when I first started in Hong Kong. That was more than a decade ago but I still remembered a few things from that trip.
Anyways, I ended up tagging along on her trip to Beijing. We were staying at Hilton Beijing Wangfujing and for the most part, it ticked most boxes.
Located on a side street next to the famous Wangfujing pedestrian street, Hilton Wangfujing has most amenities one would expect from a business hotel in the heart of a capital city.
Our room was a long and rectangular shaped one but with some creativity, they managed to make it work.
There's a fairly spacious walk-in closet right at the entrance of the room.
Next to it was the bathroom. By using a couple of sliding doors, you can re-partition the closet and bathroom the way you like them. It's entirely up to you.
Despite the long and narrow shape of the room, they didn't have a problem fitting in two double beds.
Pretty comfortable.
Even got enough space for a small office area. Too bad internet wasn't included unless you're a Hilton loyalty program member. That sucks.
Like I said earlier, this hotel is about location. There's a newly renovated shopping mall called APM which is just a three-minute walk from the hotel. Just turn right going out of the hotel and head straight for about 100 metres, you won't miss it. And of course, the world renowned Wangfujing pedestrian street isn't too far off. Since we're only staying here for one night, we definitely won't want to miss the action around here.
