I have been to Central World and ZEN more than a few times, but didn't realize that there was a rooftop bar and restaurant on Level 17. In fact, I didn't even know there was Level 17.
Finding an elevator to go up to Level 17 wasn't as easy as I thought but I managed to make it happen. After reaching Zense on Level 17, I took another staircase onto Level 19 where our dinner venue Horizons was located.
As soon as I stepped out of the glass doors, it was a totally different world out there. Standing on top of Central World was Horizons Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, al fresco dining space serving international cuisine mostly in tapas size with live music.

Spaghetti carbonara – With all the spicy dishes the last few days, everyone was all too happy to see this creamy carbonara with ham and mushrooms. A nice change of pace.
Arancini with green salad – The Italian deep-fried rice balls were served with a small salad and bell pepper mayo on the side. Not bad.
Stuffed cuttlefish with minced pork – The cuttlefish was pretty tender.
Grilled pork belly – Here comes the spicy stuff and first up, some grilled pork belly which has been marinated with chili paste. These were really really hard like stones. Didn't finish.
Fried rice with chili paste – The fried rice was not as spicy as I first thought and in fact, it worked reasonably well with the dried shrimps on the side.
Like most rooftop restaurants in Bangkok, food is never a priority here. The vibe is, and I have to admit, the atmosphere is pretty nice and good thing was that, we didn't have to travel far to soak up this vibe as it's right at our doorsteps.
