Treasures and Scent (珍藏坊) is a French boulangerie and pâtisserie located on the second floor of The Langham Shenzhen (東海朗廷酒店), offering some of the finest baked goods and desserts in the city. It’s about a five‑minute walk from Chegongmiao Station (車公廟站) and directly connected to East Pacific Paradise (東海繽紛天地).
I had long heard that Treasures and Scent was home to some of the best French desserts in Shenzhen. Still, the lack of direct metro station access (thus the need to walk outdoors) had always dampened my motivation to visit. However, with no fixed plans this afternoon, I finally decided it was time to check it off my list.
After placing my order at the counter, I was invited to take a seat in the café. The place was bright and spacious, with a relaxed atmosphere where guests were enjoying a cup of tea and exquisite pastries, clearly having a slow afternoon.
Jasmine Grapefruit (茉莉葡萄柚) (¥68) — As usual, refined French desserts in Shenzhen don’t come cheap, and this one carried a similarly hefty price tag.
The mousse itself was beautifully delicate, with a light and silky texture. However, the jasmine notes were largely overshadowed by the richness and intensity of the grapefruit mousse and the compote at the middle, leaving the floral element more subdued than I first hoped.
I'm glad to finally put this one in the books. Now, time to really find a place for my late lunch.
