I had a pretty decent strawberry cruffin at Lucullus Cacao a few months ago and have been longing to come back for another one this month. Finally, I had the time to do so. Didn't realize the bakery cafe officially closes at 8pm but thankfully, the good guys here allowed me to come in at 8:15pm for my take-out order.
It turns out that they have launched a slightly smaller version of cruffin with a smaller price tag. This slim-down version comes in a cylinder-shape with custard cream in the middle. Take my creme brulee cruffin as example - it's filled with vanilla custard cream, topped nicely with a slice of creme brulee custard, almost like a piece of butter.
That's quite a decadent and filling viennoiserie to have for a late-night snack!
