Patisserie Jeffery Koo (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★★☆☆

Chef Jeffery Koo, formerly of Black n White, has recently struck out with his first solo venture. Replacing Alice Wonderland at the K11 shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui, Patisserie Jeffery Koo offers dessert lovers an extensive specialty with some of the finest creations by chef Koo who's one of the most successful home grown chocolatiers and pastry chef in the city. 



Crunchy Dark Chocolate 72% ($48) - With chef Koo's chocolatier background, this is a pretty easy choice for me. I thought this was going to taste like a Ferraro Rocher with a nutty crust but it turned out to be just my perception. Personally, I would much prefer a little more crunch on the outside and perhaps a bit more texture inside.



Kumquat Mango ($42) - This was much much better. 



I like the way all the different flavors coming together with this one, although I certainly won't mind a bit more acidity and bitterness there.
