Located on the first floor of Elite Industrial Centre, The Americano takes over the space vacated by Pumpernickel. The new American diner is still in its soft opening phrase and that explains why the signage is still heavily covered at the moment.
Texas BBQ burger ($108) - This comes with a 6oz beef patty, baked crisp bacons, deep-fried onion ring, melted cheddar cheese and their signature smoked Jalapeno BBQ sauce. It was pretty decent but personally, I didn't like the BBQ sauce which wasn't smoky nor tasty enough for me.
Fish 'n chips ($118) - The portion was fairly generous with three pieces of Pacific halibut and New Zealand ling (sort of like cod fish). They're deep-fried with beer batters and served with crispy golden fries and a house-made pineapple tartar sauce.
Unfortunately, this came out to be slightly successful than the previous burger. I was particularly disappointed with the batter which was a bit too thick for my liking (with no sign of beer).
"Beauty and the Peach" Milkshake ($50) - Drinks are not included in the set so we had to order this separately. I like the fruity flavors in this one (with peach and strawberry syrup) and how they did it the old fashioned way with a cherry top, whipped cream and mint leaves.
This was a bit more like a smoothie than traditional milkshake which is often more creamy and fudgy but it's nevertheless pretty thirst quenching especially in the dog days of summer.

Service was friendly and attentive but there're still room for improvement on its food menu. However, if you're desperate for a burger and milkshake in the area, this might be your better option out there.
