Behind Sweet Social is executive pastry chef Andres Lara, who made his marks in the culinary world from his days at El Bulli, Noma and most recently Pollen Singapore.
During the opening week, there weren't a lot to choose from. I had the Carmelita, a lovely pastry with green apple mousse, chamomile tea and hazelnut base. That was excellent.
Slightly less successful was the Sweet Social Cheesecake with fresh strawberry, cream cheese and lemon.
