Jumbo Seafood Gallery (Singapore, SINGAPORE) ★★★☆☆

A trip to Singapore is not considered successful without having chilli crab or black pepper crab at least once. So we knew we were on a mission on this last night in Singapore. Perhaps a visit to Clarke Quay could help us complete our mission.

Jumbo Seafood Gallery is a local restaurant chain famous for its chilli crabs and black pepper crabs. They have two branches here near the river, exactly what the doctor ordered.

If you're too lazy to decide what to order, simply go for one of their set menus which often has chilli crab or baked Boston lobster as its main course.

But as experienced foodies, we felt confident to explore their a la carte menu instead. First, we began with the Chinese donut with seafood paste as our starter (4/10).

How could we forget about Jumbo's awarding winning chilli crab? The chilli sauce was the key here - thick, spicy and a little sweet.

The crab was also very tasty and the portion was absolutely huge (8/10).

Mee goreng, fried chinese noodles with seafood and a special Malay sauce was another lovely dish. It's a surprisingly decent match to complement our chilli crab (6.5/10).

A nice night view of Clarke Quay. Time to say goodbye to Singapore and start our journey in Bali tomorrow!
