Pan de Pain Pancake & Sweets (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★★☆☆

It's a great time to be a Japanese food lover these days. Just when we are still busy enjoying our Uji matcha desserts and molten cheese tart, Pan de Pain Pancake & Sweets at K11 decides to pepper us with their fluffy Japanese pancakes.



Inspired by the Japanese style pancake cafés, Pan de Pain Pancake & Sweets serves up pancakes made with premium Japanese flour, Hokkaido 3.6 milk and eggs. Not only are they good bets for simple pancakes with fruit and ice-cream, also available are more "sophisticated" offerings such as their tiramisu, strawberry and soufflé pancakes.

As a big fan of French desserts, of course I had to come and check out their signature crème brulee pancake. These were really nice and airy. And the best part of all, it really tasted a little like crème brulee with that special glaze on top. I love it~



If you would like to avoid the crowd, try arriving at around 11:00am to 11:30am.
