Sekai no Yamachan 世界の山ちゃん (Nagoya, JAPAN) ★★★★☆

After arriving in Nagoya late, we quickly checked into Hilton Nagoya and started looking for a place to grab a quick bite. But it was our first visit to the city so finding a restaurant that opens late seemed like a tall task, especially it was already after 9pm.  

We started looking out from the windows and was fortunate enough to spot Sekai no Yamachan across the street!



We read all about Sekai no Yamachan before we took off for Nagoya and it didn't take long for us to make up our minds on what to order. 

The house special chicken wings is a must-try here.



The kimchi fried rice is made to order and it was so yummy!



If you are not worried about your cholesterol level, then you should definitely try these deep fried quail eggs with a house special dip.



Another famous dish in Nagoya cuisine is their deep fried pork cutlet served with miso sauce. It was so mouthwatering.



The only dish we could live without was the hotpot stir fried chicken with vegetables.



Everything is made to order here and we had a feeling that we were actually dining at a friend's house.
