Riva Del Vin (Venice, ITALY) ★★☆☆☆

After a busy day that saw us move from Milan to Venice, we concluded the day by dropping off our luggage at our hotel and began exploring the City of Water along the canals.

Everyone keeps saying how beautiful Venice is around sunset and looks like they are right on the money. Absolutely stunning!

Having woke up very early in the morning, we're starting to get a little tired.....time to grab a quick bite and crash early!

They say there're a lot of tourist traps along the canals. Would this (Riva Del Vin) be one of them? With this wonderful view, I'm inclined to take a chance.

Steamed mussels with some sort of lobster bisque sauce. Pretty decent.

Baked scallops with spinach - Very tiny little scallops they've got here.....fail!

Spaghetti with scampi cream was soooo good although the portion could be a lot more generous. Love the scampi cream and definitely won't mind having another one of this.

I have to admit, dining right next to the canal in Venice was something else. Everyone should at least do it once in his or her lifetime.

Yes.....even when it really stinks from the canal odors.

As expected, service was real lousy here but I think we can all learn to be a little more tolerable with this view and vibe.
