After meeting my hair stylist, I decided to return to Kopitiam Bagus.Bagus (捌哥.捌哥特色馬拉茶啡廳), one of my favorite traditional Malaysian café in town. I don't usually do lunch here but I was just happy to get this one out of the way.
Teh tarik (凍拉茶) – The ceylon tea wasn't as strong and fragrant as it normally was but it was nice to finally have my first Malaysian pulled tea in a few months.
Ipoh chicken with bean sprouts and fresh chives (怡保芽菜雞) – The chicken leg was really really meaty.
Butter kaya toast (鮮牛油咖央多士) – Of course, a trip here wasn't complete without their butter kaya toast.
The pandan flavors were noticeably tuned down a bit (as suggested by its color) but still very nice and addictive with that thick slab of frozen butter.
The owner who used to be sitting behind the cashier has been missing for nearly a year now. Jelloman and I were suspecting that he already made the move to Birmingham to start a brand new branch over there.
