Tastie Bistro 傑星冰廳 (Hong Kong, CHINA) ★★☆☆☆

I am making a habit of checking out the breakfast spots in Sham Shui Po these days and this morning, my self-imposed quest took me to Yu Chau Street, just a block from the iconic Apliu Street Market (鴨寮街市集).

Tastie Bistro (傑星冰廳) was the only cha chaa teng on this side of the street that I have yet to check off my list so I decided to come in for a quick one.

The tea was reasonably strong but there was not enough rich aroma that came along with it, not to mention the creamy texture that was sorely missing.

I decided to get a taste of their fish fillet with fried egg, crispy sausage and toast (labeled as "Continental breakfast" on the breakfast menu). Well, like the milk tea before it, this didn't go too well. Instead of a large piece of fish fillet shown from the picture of the menu, I was given three small pieces served on a Chinese-style garlicky sauce. Not I expected for a continental breakfast (The sausage was nice and crispy though).

For me, the pantyhose milk tea was often the make or break for my breakfast so this meal was never going anywhere close to my expectation (with a sub-par milk tea). So yes, this would classify as a one-and-done.
