Cross Hotel Osaka (Osaka, JAPAN)

After spending our first 5 nights in Tokyo, it was time to move onto our next destination, Osaka. Japan is undisputedly the best country in the world to get across all the provinces and cities with public transportation. Every place is well-connected with railway making life of a tourist most easier.

We're taking the high-speed train to Osaka this morning via Tokyo Station, bringing us to Osaka in a little more than an hour.

While we were at historic Tokyo Station, we grabbed a couple of bento box for lunch. I got myself some Japanese deep-fried pork cutlets.

Jelloman had a sashimi don.

While the train ride only took about an hour, the entire journey from Tokyo Station to Cross Hotel Osaka where we would be staying for the next few nights lasted almost 4 hours (including waiting time)!

This time, we did request for early check-in so it didn't take long before we got the keys to our room.

I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room. Much more spacious than the typical closet sized rooms in Japan!

Top quality linen, and I love the pillows here (there was a harder one and a soft one). In fact, they were so comfortable that I almost brought one of them back home.

The thing I love most about our room (apart from the pillows) was the shower room. They even have enough space to fit in a big bath tub.

A separate toilet on the other side of the room.

We have specifically asked for a quiet room and this one facing the back street was perfect.

The hotel lobby was designed almost like a cyber café. There were a couple of PCs there for guests to browse the internet.

The reason we chose to stay at Cross Hotel Osaka was of course its prime location. The fact that it's situated in the backyard of Shinsaibashi (心斎橋) which is just a stone's throw to many attractions in Osaka makes it difficult to resist.
