Xie San Bao Huang Ting Centre 蟹叁寶 皇庭中心店 (Shenzhen, CHINA) ★★★★☆

I have just enough time for one last stop in Futian before my train departs for West Kowloon.



Although I had only less than an hour on the clock, I was determined to make Xie San Bao (蟹叁寶) at Huang Ting Centre (皇庭中心店) the final destination of my trip.

At 4pm, the almost-packed house was already full of Hongkongers enjoying Xie San Bao's signature crab roe noodles as a late lunch (or was it early dinner?). 

Look at the accolades they received for their crab roe noodles. 

My afternoon tea session kicked off with a cup of warm ginger tea first.



The main event was their mixed noodles served with a small bowl of crab roes and crab meat (蟹黃金撈) (¥98) on the side. This really looked like the delicious crab roe noodles I had at Xie Man Lou Crab Roes Noodles (蟹滿樓 蟹黄面) when I visited Beijing last November.

The sauce was really thick and tangy. 

I had a choice between rice and noodle, and it wasn't a difficult decision to make.

Amazingly, I will have all these crab roes, meat and sauce all to myself! 😍😍

The way I like to eat this, is to take a few spoonful of the goodness and lay them on top of the warm noodles, and finished it off with a few drops of vinegar to bring out the umami-rich flavors. 

It was sooo goood (a bit big for a snack)......in fact, I just sent Jelloman a photo of this and she wanted to be part of the action too. So, I am getting her the same noodles as a takeaway. Delivery boy arriving home in 30 minutes!
