Last year, I was devastated to learn that all of the Luke's Lobster outlets outside Tokyo have closed down due to COVID, including our favorite one in the heart of Osaka. I have been fighting the crave for my favorite lobster roll up until this trip to Tokyo. As of the time of writing, there are currently 3 locations of Luke's Lobster left in Tokyo, with their Shibuya Park Street store right in the thick of our itinerary this afternoon.
Time to indulge my craving and sink my teeth into this lobster roll!

This was seriously disappointing. The brioche (not toasted) was hardly buttery (or warm) enough and the poached lobster meat was pretty bland.
And the wasabi powder (what I thought was) did very very little to enhance the flavors of the lobster flesh.
The Flipper's lounge just around the corner (which happens to be under the same ownership) looks far more attractive than Luke's Lobster this afternoon. That's for sure.
